History of The Weston School

Starting her career in the banking industry, Nazli Khan quickly found a need for a quality childcare provider in the Indianapolis area when she had her first child. The lack of safety precautions, education, and health consciousness that she found in other childcare providers in the area lead to the start of her own at home child care service in 1986.

Three years later, in 1989, a building was leased to elevate her business from a home daycare to a licensed childcare company. The ABC’s and 123’s Learning Center was now on its way to becoming one of the best childcare facilities in Indiana! Keeping its values intact and continuing to nurture and educate children, the demand for a quality experience grew. In response, another location was opened in Avon, Indiana to serve more families in 1996. As the communities grew in both Indianapolis and Avon, a new location was opened in 1999 on the North West side of Indianapolis and the Avon location added an additional building to their facility in 2006.

In 2013 Nazli’s son Omar Khan joined the company. Omar has an extensive business background in turn around management as a human resource professional working for top fortune 500 companies. He holds a PHR certification in human resources, a six sigma green belt in operations and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business. Nazli and Omar also recruited Dana Query now serving as Area Director for the company.

This team has worked hard to bring on the brightest and most innovative professionals in their markets to relaunch the company as a premier preschool and childcare organization.

After re-branding and remodeling our Avon and Indianapolis schools. In 2017 we purchased and completely remodeled an old restaurant opening a school on the westside of Noblesville. This school broke even in three months! We then doubled the size of that school the following year and broke even in two weeks! We then went on to purchase a competitor’s school that had closed, remodel it, and opened it in 2019 on the east side of Noblesville. Again we broke even in three to four months. In 2020 covid hit, which stalled our growth for a period of time. However after weathering the storm by reacting quickly and being resourceful we went onto proceed with our current project. This year we are added 7,000 square feet onto our Indianapolis school and are currently remodeling the existing building. This project should be completed by the fall of 2021. Our tremendous growth has been due to Nazli’s expert accounting, Omar’s innovation, and Dana’s operational management along with an amazing management team and staff who work hard everyday to improve the company as a whole.

Now with over 28 years of childcare experience, we are continuing to develop new ways to provide the nurturing, educational, and safe atmosphere that is the base of our success and growth. Through excellent curriculum, safety technology, and highly trained staff members, we set the bar high for preschool and childcare providers state-wide. Our goal is open more locations in the surrounding Indianapolis areas to become the best preschool and early childhood education company in Indiana.
