For babies and young children separation anxiety is a real issue. Parents bring comfort and support so it’s only natural that without them children can experience stress. Renita is 30 years young and a mother of three wonderful boys, ages 12, 5, and 3. She says has a very big heart and love for children and educating.  Renita has over 10 years of experience in early childhood education and is currently furthering her education in early childhood. Renita believes that individuals have to continue to learn if they want to teach.

We are so happy to have Ms. LaTanza on the ABC’s & 123’s Learning Center team! LaTanza has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for 11 years. It is no surprise that our creative two’s teacher also loves to paint on her own time because Ms. LaTanza’s favorite thing to do with the children is art. 

When the summer heat hits, we often head for the local pool or vegetate in front of the TV. Around Indiana, you can find great activities to beat the heat without baking in the sun or draining your brain.

Brenda has been with ABC’s & 123’s Learning Center for almost three years.  She works with the Infants, Toddlers, and Twos in the afternoon and helps in other classrooms when necessary.

Jessi spends her days with the precious four-year-olds at our Avon location.  Her favorite part of work is walking in and seeing the friendly staff and smiling faces of her students eager to greet her.  “I chose ABC’s & 123’s Learning Center because of our outlook on education and learning through play.  The environment at ABC’s is always fun and positive.”  

  I’m late to pick up the kids from school…. again. I hate this.   Four o-clock, and the sun shines like the day is ready to burst with potential. Miss Quiana is one of our Two’s & Three’s teachers at our Indianapolis location. She puts consistent effort into her classroom and students and it shows!  Her favorite part about working at ABC’s & 123’s Learning Center is working with the children and assisting them with growing and learning each day.  Miss Quiana’s favorite activities to implement with her students are science and art activities.  She says she enjoys being messing, making explosions, and watching the kids notice and talk about changes.

Dr. John Medina wrote about 12 “Brain Rules” to help us all become more intelligent, more effective humans. These rules have become a movement in schools in the last years. His website discusses the implications for exercise, sleep, senses, and music on knowledge and learning, just to name a few.

Dolores has been working with children for 23 years. She began working with children in Mexico and has now already worked 3 years in the United States in childcare. The cost associated with childcare can be a burden on families, but there are options available to make things a little easier. Indiana has a special program known as the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) that provides assistance to low income families who meet a certain criteria.
